Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, led the opening ceremony of the APIMEX Workshop Lab, which has the purpose of promoting innovation, ideas and competitiveness of the footwear industry.
This is a specialized space where associates can develop prototypes of materials to facilitate the manufacturing process of the final product. And also, to encourage the participation of footwear and leather goods suppliers and manufacturers, to develop new business units.
“The inauguration of this place is a watershed for APIMEX,” said the Governor.
Here, entrepreneurs in this industry will be able to acquire tools and alliances to become increasingly more competitive, which is one of the pillars of the economic development of Guanajuato, added the Governor who with the President of APIMEX, Fernando Padilla Padilla.
Of the 4.9 million that were invested in this lab, the State Government contributed 2.8 million.
“We are convinced that the benefit is for society, and that it translates into more and better jobs. The results of the work done in this space will translate into the strengthening of economic and social development in Guanajuato,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor ratified his commitment to the development and growth of the industry in general, and especially the leather-footwear supply chain.
The APIMEX Workshop Lab will further promote the sector in both local and international markets, said the Governor who said that APIMEX is a key piece of this sector, and that it continues to advance in terms of competitiveness, quality and social co-responsibility.
