With the participation of 10 artisans from 6 municipalities, the 2025 Christmas Craft Festival is held in Guanajuato City.
Governor Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo reaffirms her commitment to support traditional sectors through these marketing and promotional spaces, which boost local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and contribute to the prosperity of Guanajuato.
The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, said that this place gives greater visibility to local companies by being a forum for the promotion and strengthening of Guanajuato’s artisanal traditions and its cultural diversity.
The festival is held at the Casa de las Artesanias, at Plaza de la Paz 14, Downtown, Guanajuato City, until January 5, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
This edition features artisans from the municipalities of:
- Apaseo el Alto, Cortazar, Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Leon and San Miguel de Allende
The artisanal expressions of Guanajuato enrich the cultural experience, identity and pride in traditions, consolidating Guanajuato as a national and international benchmark in the preservation of identity.
Promoting the consumption of local products strengthens regional identity and creates opportunities for economic and social growth for artisans and strengthens traditional sectors like —crafts, leather and footwear, textiles and clothing, agro-food and developing industries— through marketing spaces.
This event represents a significant boost for Guanajuato’s handicrafts and is an invitation to reconnect with the roots of Guanajuato, by bringing closer the work of artisans who transform materials into true works of art.
Furthermore, the festival is a unique opportunity to promote local consumption, directly supporting MSMEs that keep alive the cultural identity of Guanajuato.
