Guanajuato/Gto News
In full coordination with the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) of the Government of Mexico, the Secretary of National Defense (SEDENA), the National Guard (GN), and the 46 municipalities, more than 1,500 members of the Secretary of Security and Peace will be deployed in plazas, civic venues, and State and Federal highways.

In Dolores Hidalgo, the cradle of National Independence, the operation includes more than 400 State Police Officers to accompany families and visitors during the national celebrations.

Intelligence and C5i monitoring capabilities (video protection and road arches) will be activated 24/7 to anticipate risks and coordinate ground response.
As a preventative component, institutional aircraft will be activated preemptively to perform deterrent overflights and support for Civil Protection, in accordance with air safety protocols and real-time information from C5i.

Access checkpoints and road support will be in place; alternative routes and peak travel times will also be disseminated through official channels. Family reunification and care units will be set up at high-traffic locations, in coordination with Civil Protection, the Fire Department, and health services. Civic events include authorized and supervised fireworks; for safety reasons, hazardous objects such as sharp objects, rigid flagpoles, or glass containers will not be permitted.

For the date the entire State Police is participating, with functions such as:
- Operation and Reaction (preventive patrol and immediate response), Roads and Highways (checkpoints and roadside assistance on State stretches and connections to the Federal network), Proximity and Tourism (orientation, care modules, and family reunification), Tactical Group (specialized coverage for high-traffic events), K9 Unit (preventive detection at access points), and C5i/Intelligence Analysts (dispatch, inter-institutional coordination, and incident management)
The operation is carried out under joint responsibility in each municipality, respecting their areas of responsibility and combining capabilities for Mexico’s most important celebration.

The Secretary of Security and Peace invited citizens to celebrate the national holidays safely and orderly. They recommended planning arrivals, choosing a designated driver in case of alcohol ingestion, identifying departure times and agreeing on a meeting point with the family.
Finally, the agency reminded everyone that if you observe any irregularities, you can report anonymously to 089 or call 911 in case of emergency.
