Construction work begins on a wastewater treatment plant in Guadalupe de Jalpa
Guanajuato State Water Commission will work drill a well for drinking water in Purisima del Rincon

As part of the actions promoted to increase the coverage of hydraulic services, work began on the construction of a wastewater plant and the drilling of a well for drinking water to benefit 757 inhabitants of Guadalupe de Jalpa, in Purisima del Rincon.
Governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo and the General Director of the State Water Commission Paco Garcia Leon and Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano were in charge of giving the starting signal for these works in which they will invest 9.7 million pesos and that will contribute to continue to consolidate more and better infrastructure for this area of the State.
The hydraulic action of the Treatment Plant in which 4.9 million pesos are invested will include a pumping station, an ascending flow anaerobic reactor, a subsurface flow wetland, a chlorine contact tank and will have a capacity for the wastewater sanitation of 2 liters per second.
With the construction of this work, coverage in this area will increase and will bring with it better health conditions, since sources of contamination are eliminated and better conditions are generated for the well being of people.
Also and through an investment of 4.8 million pesos, a drinking water well will be drilled, which will later contribute to consolidating the supply of the vital liquid in quantity, quality and availability.
In Guanajuato, innovative water and sanitation actions continue to be developed and carried out to promote the progress towards water sustainability and continuous improvement of hydraulic infrastructure.
