Roberto Garcia Urbano, Mayor of Purisima del Rincon met Purisimense migrants living in Oxnard, California in the United States this weekend during the enacting of La Judea international, to agree with immigrant groups about coordination, support and activities.
Garcia Urbano reached an agreement with the Mexican Consulate in Oxnard and Consul Ricardo Santana Velazquez said he is eager to work with the Municipal Government of Purisima del Rincon to maintain direct communication in the case it is necessary to work with migrants and serve them in a joint effort.
Before the representation of La Judea, an international cultural tradition inherited to Purisimenses by Hermenegildo Bustos, there was a meeting with the community of Mexicans living in the United States and original from Purisima del Rincon, all members of the group “Club Gente Bonita de Purisima” led by Agustin Mendoza and Humberto Guzman.
The coordinators expressed to the Mayor that with the policy of the President of the United States, they are having limits in their mobility, they cannot act as freely as they used to do because they keep limiting their freedom, but still, they keep working.
The participants agreed that through the Coordination of Migrants and their Families, led by Ramon Padilla Murillo, who was also present in the reunion in Oxnard and the Mayor named him as a participant, the groups will create a Mirror Club that will make it possible to enforce different programs to serve migrants and their families with programs like the Silver Miners and other that will bring a benefit for migrants in USA.
Purisima del Rincon is one of the most important municipalities in Guanajuato, in its culture and identity, and Purisimenses will always remain proud and identified with their roots, whether they are in their city or living somewhere else, and that is the case of the migrants living in Oxnard and other nearby places in California, said Garcia Urbano, that is why in 11 years of La Judea international, Authorities have been close to them and support their will to take Purisima to the world, sharing and promoting the identity of the Purisimense people.
Garcia Urbano, with the President of the DIF Council, Enriqueta Martinez Lopez, thanked all present for the reception and for maintaining close to nationals and for their participation.
In this tour also participated the councilman Benjamin Rodriguez Cruz and the director of Tourism, Roberto Camargo, both part of the reunion and the enactment of La Judea International 2025 and the El Torito dance in Oxnard, California.
