Governor of Guanajuato shared with participants of the Sustainable Development Summit, the inclusive economic development actions of the -GTO Contigo Si- strategy
During the international panel participants analyzed inclusive development and the generation of social economy policies to counteract inequality

Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodrguez Vallejo, took part in the Sustainable Development Summit of the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru), which is held as part of the activities of the edition 2022 of the Industrial Transformation Mexico -ITM- Fair.
The Governor presented the inclusive development that is promoted in Guanajuato, with clear actions such as those included in the -Guanajuato Contigo Si- strategy.
“I think it is very important to talk about inclusive development, in Guanajuato we have understood the importance of having a level playing field that allows citizens to have equal circumstances in order to fight for a better future,” said Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor participated in the panel, “The imperative of inclusive development: Can social market economy policies counteract the social gap in Latin American societies?”, in which inclusive development was discussed, understood as the search and promotion of economic and industrial development that benefits the different social sectors, providing employment, income, education and generally improving the living conditions of the population.
“For Guanajuato it is essential to promote comprehensive development in an inclusive and sustainable manner. For this reason, we implemented a new social strategy: -Guanajuato Contigo Si-, which aspires to have the population of Guanajuato with access to a full life and development opportunities”, explained Rodríguez Vallejo.
The Governor said that this goal can be achieved if the government, business sectors and academia work together and collaborate in specific actions, such as the population expanding its capacities in education, health and income, as well as adequate spaces for coexistence and family and social development.
The State Development Plan 2040 sets out the objective of ensuring the conditions for the full and equal development of groups in conditions of vulnerability.
One of the main objectives established in this plan is to reduce poverty in all its aspects and from its causes; this is also reflected in the Government Program 2018-2024.
This transversal agenda aligns the efforts of society and government so that those sectors of the population in vulnerable situations have access to the benefits of government policies and actions to guarantee their development and full participation, regardless of their condition.
