To promote the economic and tourist development of Leon, the modification of the norm was passed in commissions, and it will help consolidate the Leon MX District.

The United Commissions of Urban Development, Ecological and Territorial Order, IMPLAN and Public Works and the Government, Public Security, Metropolitan Academy, Traffic and Crime Prevention exporessed their OK to the reform of the Reglamentary Code of Urban Development, to grant more certainty on the operation of businesses already operating in the Leon MX District.
The Reform was presented by the Mayor, Alejandra Gutierrez Campos and members of the City Council that support the Project.
When passed the complex of buildings that includes the Center of Congresses and Expositions Poliforum Leon, the Leon State Fair, the Explora Park and Center of Sciences, the Guanajuato Cultural Forum, the State Central Library and the Unit of Arts of the University of Guanajuato, will be confirmed as an urban referral that is available for citizens all the year round and not only during events like the Fair, or the exhibitions of Sapica or ANPIC.
