Guanajuato is in a process of economic recovery for the fourth month in a row after the hard blow of the Covid 19 pandemic
The economic strategies of the Government of Guanajuato yield results and are bound to be strong in 2021

Guanajuato has been able to maintain a level of stability amid the blow that Mexico has suffered during 2020, promoting the economic reactivation, and holding its sixth place as the sixth economy of Mexico and recovering lost jobs.
Good results
Mauricio Usabiaga, the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development –SDES-, informed that Guanajuato is below the national average in closing of companies and above the average in generation of new companies, as stated by the Report on Demography of Business 2020 that was made all over the country.
Companies keep coming
Usabiaga said that the strategy of Economic Impulse headed by Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo and SDES are yielding great results. Until now for each 20 companies that closed, another 13 new companies have started operations.
In generation of jobs, there is a constant trend of recovery of jobs for the fourth month in a row, and from almost 50 thousand jobs disappeared during the first months of the pandemic 20 thousand new jobs have been recovered.
A strong strategy
Only a few days from the end of 2020, Mauricio Usabiaga has committed to strengthen the strategy to promote the economy; a gradual, responsible and successful economic reactivation, the support for micro, small and mid size companies to adopt the digital market, search for new investments and maintain the trust of investors in Guanajuato, something that will reflect on programs and actions in 2021.
