A Christmas walk will be enjoyed by Leoneses starting at the ‘Arco de la Calzada’ and ending in downtown Leon.
As visitors and participants walk from the Calzada to Downtown, 2 Christmas trees will be alighted. Families will enjoy music, plays and lots of fun.
The Christmas walk starts at 6:30 pm when a Christmas tree will be turned on at the Calzada. The walk will continue to the Plaza Expiatorio, where the giant Nativity will be officially inaugurated.
Then the walk continues on Madero Street down to the Main Square. At 8pm the Christmas Tree of Main Square will be alighted. The City’s Christmas Tree is framed by the City Hall and the downtown skyline.
Along the walk people can find sweets, snacks, arts and crafts and local products, it includes the sale of products of the “Marca GTO”. There will also be street performances with plays like: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Mrs. Claus, Christmas Dis-Concert and The Tin Soldier. All Leoneses and visitors are invited to this pre-Christmas event.
