CEAG and Living Water reinforce actions of hydrological sustainability

CEAG, the State Water Commision of Guanajuato and Living Water Mexico held a reunion to keep coordinating efforts and join their plans to provide drinking water to more families in Guanajuato.
Society is involved
In the reunion, participants reviewed the results of actions that are being applied through strategies and actions and which contribute to a continuous improvement of participation of society in the hydrological sector.
The organization has been working through the program Water Links since 2017 in Guanajuato with CEAG and their goal is to promote the protection of water through Social Art in communities of Guanajuato.
Agentes of change
The program aims to create agents of change to generate sustainable development as an esential element of this project that has set an innovative precedent as it is applied.
With workshops, theater plays, training courses to staff of rural water commitees and all those interested, actions have been taken to change the idea people have about water as an unlimited resource.
Change the Behaviour
Since 2017 until now through a joint effort, more than 53 thousand people have had access to an efficient service of the vital liquid and more than 28 thousand people have participated in activities of Social Art to Change the Behaviour.
Efficient use of water
The Project has trained and formed as leaders of change 849 women and 248 trainers through 74 training sessions that have the goal of promoting actions to guarantee an efficient use of water. With these actions 95 communities of Guanajuato have been benefited and 53 drinking water systems have been built in rural areas of Guanajuato.
