The ‘Cervantino Interludes’ were presented on stage by the Theater of the University of Guanajuato –TUG- and they are present at the 49th edition of the International Cervantino Festival –FIC- as part of the in person and virtual program.
The origin
The TUG, is directed by Hugo Jaime Gamba Briones, and the Interludes it presents were the start of the first edition of the FIC in 1972, they are a fundamental part of the yearly program of the event and until now they remain as an uncomparable referral to the cultural history of Guanajuato.
This year, and in the program ‘Cervantes in the voice of the Universitary Theater’, the TUG will present the Interludes -La Cueva de Salamanca, La Guarda Cuidadosa, Los Habladores and Los Mirones-, on the nights of October 15th, 16th, 27th and 28th.
The presentations will be held at the Plaza San Roque and they will be full of satirical comedy.
Animated Interludes
The Animated Cervantino Interludes will tell the adventures of characters taken from contemporary reality with problems and some irony, very similar to the in person presentations.
The animated interludes will be broadcast in two chapters, on October 28th and 30th. This Project of virtual animation is a production of the Cultural Extension Direction of the University of Guanajuato.
The public can access programs from anywhere in the world through:

- Also from public televisión broadcast by the Public System Broadcasting of the Mexican State, -Channel 22-
- And the Unit of Television of Guanajuato -TV4-
- Besides the International Cervantino Festival will be broadcast on open televisión, social networks and digital platforms of the Federal and Local public media.
