The People’s Government, through the Financial and Support Fund “Tu Puedes Guanajuato,” continues with more actions to bring real opportunities so that more entrepreneurial people can turn an idea into a business capable of generating income and improve the economy of their families.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato, said that this strategy responds to the conviction of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, to bring real opportunities to those who have historically encountered more obstacles to start a business.

“In the People’s Government, we haven’t forgotten who we are here for; it’s for you. For the women, the young, and the families who work every day hoping to build a better future for their families and their community,” said Ivon.

“Every bit of support we provide carries with it the trust that your projects can grow and become a source of income and personal development for your households; that’s why I tell you that believing in people is the best investment,” said the Director.

Padilla Hernandez, led in Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence, the delivery of 114 support grants of the “We Believe in You” program, aimed at women and young people who from now on write the first chapter of their productive projects.

Simultaneously, the strategy also reached San Diego de la Unión, where nearly 75 new entrepreneurs received this support to start their businesses.

Each beneficiary received a non-refundable grant of seven thousand pesos, a boost that represents much more than just financial support. It represents a vote of trust for those who, days earlier, decided to prepare themselves and participate in the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop, demonstrating that opportunities yield better results when they are accompanied by training, commitment, and hard work.

“Working as a team, we are unstoppable. That’s why when a person decides to start a business and finds institutions willing to support them, the chances of success multiply,” said Ivon.

“That is the commitment of the People’s Government: to walk alongside you, break down barriers and obstacles, and demonstrate that the talent of the Guanajuatenses deserves opportunities to grow. A real opportunity like the WE BELIEVE IN YOU Support program,” said Padilla.

The world of Maricela Martinez Rivas changed course in an instant. After waiting for a response from the “We Believe in You” program, one morning, while going about her daily activities, she received the news that she had been selected.

Maricela says that the support represents much more than an economic resource: “This support identifies me as a hard-working, determined woman,” she proudly expressed.

Maricela says the call took her by surprise. “I felt immense happiness,” recalls the 51-year-old entrepreneur from San Diego de la Union, who saw in that moment an opportunity to get a little closer to the dream she has painstakingly built over the years: growing the business that supports her family.

Even on the day of the handover, she still found it hard to believe the support was a reality. After getting up before dawn to prepare lunch for her family, “I kept saying, ‘ I’m going to pick up my check in a little while .’ I still couldn’t believe it,” she says with a smile.

Addressing those beginning their entrepreneurial journeys, she delivered a message of perseverance that brought smiles to the faces of the attendees. “Fighting for a dream can indeed become a reality. At my age, 51, I am going to make my dream come true; it’s never too late to start,” said Maricela.

Her story served as a reminder that entrepreneurship has no age limit and that opportunities find those who decide to keep working for what they believe in.
