“Serviacero Comercial”, a construction sector company in Leon received the emblem
Marca GTO is an emblem that identifies origin, a symbol of quality, a comercial referral and an entrepreneurial commitment

With the emblem Marca GTO unique quality products are certified as made in Guanajuato. Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo granted the 3,000th emblem and recognized the work of producers of different sectors to continue with the commercial promotion in Guanajuato.
The main actors
“You and your workers are the great main actors of the succes story that Guanajuatenses have written in the last years, so that we are today the sixth State economy of Mexico”, said the Governor.
“Behind the industrial and commercial growth, and the economic development that Guanajuato has achieved, we have the hard work, the will to be better, an effort to make a dream come true and fulfill a goal”, said the Governor as he granted the emblem to 8 representative companies of the sectors that in 2020 went through the audit process.
The companies are:
‘Tequilera Corralejo’, from Penjamo; ‘Talavera y Artesanías Mely’, from Dolores Hidalgo; ‘Manufacturera de Botas Cuadra’, the school ‘Escuela Bancaria y Comercial’, both from Leon; ‘Sonata Calcetin’ and ACNA Autoparts both from Irapuato; also ‘Manufacturas Proinse’, from Silao; and ‘Serviacero Comercial SA de CV’, from Leon.
“We are the only State in Mexico with this emblem that aims to position a brand that identifies them through a methodology that is validated by a certifying organism”, said the Governor.
The work of all
Rodriguez Vallejo thanked the Mexican Institute of Norms and Certification for their support in this process, and also the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property for the registry of the brand and the emblem; besides he thanked COFOCI for their constant work to strengthen the local commerce.
If it is Marca GTO, it is good
On January 13th 2015 the Marca GTO was launched by the Secfretary of Sustainable Economic Development, they designed and developed the Marca GTO emblem as a form to recognize how good something made in Guanajuato is. It considers 4 dimensions: Origin, Quality, Commercial referral and Entrepreneurial Commitment.
Marca GTO is a trade mark and its Emblem can be granted to any company no matter its size, type of product or service, they only have to fulfill some guidelines.

As a colective product nine brands are promoted with the Marca GTO:

- Mezcal from San Felipe Torres Mochas
- Tequila Huanimaro Blanco
- Sombreros San Pancho from the Pueblos del Rincon
- Mayolica Ceramic from Dolores Hidalgo and Guanajuato
- Dolorense Pottery
- Nopal Villa from Valtierrilla
- Big Bread from Acambaro
- Pottery from Abasolo
A brand that is growing
Up to now 3,046 companies hold the Marca GTO emblem in 38 municipalities in sectors like Food, Pottery and crafts, Fashion, Construction, Shoe-Leather, Textile-Clothing, Automotive and Autoparts, Development Industry, Tourism and Education.
