Guanajuato stregthens its position as one of the key states for the development of the aerospace industry in Mexico. The Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, participated in the 2026 General Assembly of Associates of the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA), held for the second consecutive year in Guanajuato. This reaffirms the trust in the role Guanajuato plays in strengthening supply chains and integrating local companies into this strategic sector.
Villaseñor noted that the growth of this industry responds to a clear vision of economic development, which focuses on competitiveness, attracting investment and generating opportunities, positioning Guanajuato as a relevant player in a highly competitive global environment.
This reunion brought together the main leaders of the sector to align the national vision, strengthen the industry and generate strategic alliances that promote the integration of suppliers, the development of capabilities and access to new business opportunities.
Currently, Guanajuato generates more than 2,140 specialized jobs in the aerospace industry and registers exports of 18 million dollars in 2025, with a presence in markets such as the United States, South Korea and Japan, which confirms the competitiveness and global reach of the sector in the State.
Additionally, the Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing Summit 2026 was inaugurated, consolidating Guanajuato as a meeting point for innovation, advanced manufacturing and technological development in Mexico.
This event brings together companies, business chambers, and authorities to strengthen the integration of production chains and connect small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with global opportunities in high-tech sectors.
Through this platform, industrial capabilities are boosted and connections are forged that open new business opportunities and commercial integration.
The Summit is organized by the Guanajuato Aerospace Cluster, in collaboration with the People’s Government, as part of a strategy that strengthens the articulation of the public sector, private initiative and industrial clusters, consolidating a dynamic ecosystem that promotes innovation, talent development and the attraction of investments.
