Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the “People’s Governor,” delivered housing assistance through the “My New Home” Program and kits of the “People Helping People” program. The goal is to provide access not only to property, but also peace of mind, security, and the opportunity to build a better future, based on a close and humane vision.

The “My New Home” Program supports those who do not have house, making easier their access to a new home through a subsidy that can reach up to 100,000 pesos, aimed at adults with incomes up to 8.3 UMAs and with the possibility of complementing the support through a credit or financing.

“We are teaming up with the chambers of commerce and industry to provide homes for families in Guanajuato, and from our perspective, we are offering this subsidy so they can acquire the housing they so desperately need,” said Libia Dennise.
In 2026, “My New Home” benefits 84 families in Guanajuato, in municipalities such as Irapuato, Leon, San Miguel de Allende and Villagran, with a total investment of 7 million 084 thousand pesos.

In the specific case of Leon, 68 grants were awarded, representing an investment of 5.7 million pesos, allowing these families to have their own property in urban areas such as Las Vizcainas, Paraiso de las Joyas and Punta Dorada.
In addition, the People’s Government strengthens social participation through the “People Helping People” program, which is operated by the New Beginning Secretary, to promote community work from within the neighborhoods and communities themselves.

“For me, my favorites are our women of the People’s Committees, because they represent what we, the women of Guanajuato are: hardworking and go-getters. And we’re not going to stop there; we want to reach more neighborhoods, more municipalities, and feel truly proud of the work we’re doing,” said the Governor.
This program strengthens the People’s Committees, promoting neighborhood organization, the recovery of public spaces, and the construction of safer and more supportive environments.
A symbolic delivery was made of 400 integrated kits with work tools for beneficiaries from different regions of the State, with an investment of 6.6 million pesos.

Because when a family receives its home, or when a community organizes itself to improve its environment, a Guanajuato with opportunities for everyone is being built, said Governor Libia Dennise.
