Leon successfully concluded its participation in the 45th ANATO Tourist Showcase (2026), held from February 25–27. The city’s presence at Latin America’s premier travel association event resulted in 23 high-level business appointments and 9 international media interviews, further positioning Leon as a strategic hub for both business and leisure travel.

Yazmin Quiroz Lopez, General Director of Hospitality and Tourism, led key meetings with Latin American associations, tour operators, and MICE segment leaders. A standout achievement was the strengthened partnership with Kamila Caselles, Senior Officer of the Bogota Convention Bureau, aimed at boosting the meetings industry through collaborative growth.

The delegation also secured a familiarization trip for the upcoming FIEXPO Workshop & Technical Visit, set to take place in Leon from March 17–20.
This event will bring together specialized buyers and top-tier industry suppliers. Furthermore, a direct link was established with the Director of the Agora Bogota International Convention Center, a recently appointed board member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).

Throughout the three-day showcase, Leon’s representatives highlighted the city’s unique blend of history, identity, and world-class service vocation. With ANATO 2026 drawing over 56,000 attendees from 35 countries, Leon successfully projected itself as a premier international destination.

The city boasts a robust infrastructure specifically designed for the MICE segment, complemented by rich cultural and historical attractions. Its global reach is supported by a powerful connectivity network of 194 weekly flights, linking Leon with major cities across Mexico and the world.

Through this active international promotion, Leon reaffirms its strategy to remain at the forefront of the meetings industry in Latin America, blending industrial heritage with cutting-edge tourism capabilities.
