COFOCE generates real opportunities for export and international growth

In Guanajuato, a strategy is transforming how local businesses integrate into global markets. This strategy, known as International Industrial Connection, is an initiative of the People’s Government, spearheaded and implemented locally by the Secretary of Economy and internationally by COFOCE, the agency responsible for promoting the State’s exports.
International Industrial Connection is a strategy designed to integrate Guanajuato’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) into international value chains, strengthening their competitiveness and expanding their business opportunities.
Through COFOCE, the program identifies opportunities in global markets and directly links international buyers with local suppliers in Guanajuato, generating strategic connections that strengthen the State’s export ecosystem.
A story that delivers results
Through the International Industrial Connection program, COFOCE successfully linked METTLER TOLEDO, a global company based in Tijuana specializing in precision instruments, with more than 30 Guanajuatense companies with export capacity.
With manufacturing presence in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Mexico and China, METTLER TOLEDO offers solutions for research and development, quality control, production, logistics and retail in multiple industries around the world.
The company, a global leader in precision scales and balances for industry, was looking for domestic suppliers in processes such as sheet metal, machining and plastic injection.
Thanks to this strategy, they now work with at least 6 companies in Guanajuato as direct suppliers.
This is how we boost exports and strengthen our industries by connecting the local with the global.
With initiatives like these, the People’s Government reaffirms its commitment to support Guanajuato companies in their internationalization process.
