The Secretary of Health and the Human Rights Ombudsman of the State of Guanajuato signed an agreement for the creation of safe work environments in all medical units, including 16 general hospitals and 19 community hospitals.

This is an institutional initiative aimed at strengthening workplace equality, preventing psychosocial risks, and promoting a culture of zero tolerance for violence.

Health Secretary Gabriel Cortes Alcala received, on behalf of the ISAPEG family, the Registration Certificate for compliance with the requirements of the Mexican Standard NMX-R-025-SCF1-2015.
Also, the components of the strategy were presented, as well as the key role of the heads of medical and administrative units in its implementation, consolidating a model of co-responsibility and shared governance.

“It is a comprehensive strategy that unites prevention, care, management training and transformation; it is an institutional responsibility,” the Health Secretary reiterated.
The goal is to strengthen care, prevent psychosocial risks, and promote a culture of zero tolerance for violence. Furthermore, to achieve the ALVA certification and build violence-free spaces based on awareness and training.

Cortes noted the key role of the heads of medical and administrative units in its implementation, consolidating a model of co-responsibility and shared governance.
Those participating in this launch included the heads of the medical and administrative units, members of the Committee to Prevent and Address Workplace Violence, Harassment and Sexual Harassment.

Karla Gabriela Alcaraz Olvera, Human Rights Attorney of the State of Guanajuato, said that every worker in every medical unit should know where to go.
In this presentation were Alma de la Luz Morales Romero, General Coordinator of Administration and Finance, and Jose Felipe Carranco Escalona, General Coordinator of Public Health, besides other officials and union leaders.
