“In the People’s Government, building peace is a daily task done as a team”, said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo during the Sixth Ordinary Session of the State Public Security Council.

“We must be clear that the strategy we are implementing, hand in hand with the Federal Government, the State Government and the Municipal Governments, is a strategy that is yielding results, even though we are having difficult days,” said the State Governor.

“You have all the support of this People’s Government, because when situations arise, like many of you and many of us have experienced, where security situations are complex, the citizens demand results from us,” said Libia.
“We are here to work as a team. Something we have set out to do is that security here is not politicized, it is not trivialized, but quite the opposite. The responsibility we have is such, and the commitment we have assumed is so strong, that we are here to support each other, to work as a team, and to convey that it is possible to live in a safe Guanajuato, it is possible to live in a safe Mexico, when we all do our part,” noted the Governor.

Libia Dennise took the opportunity to insist in her support for Cesar Prieto, Mayor of Salamanca, regarding the recent events in the community of Loma de Flores: “I want to reiterate to you, Cesar, that we are all here to work as a team, to support you.”
The Governor reaffirmed her support for each of the 46 municipalities as she chaired over the Sixth Ordinary Session of the State Public Security Council, in which, among other topics they addressed the Guidelines, Criteria, Distribution Formula and Catalog of Goods and Services for the Granting of the State Fund for the Strengthening of Municipal Public Security for the year 2026.

This session also included the presentation of the Activity Report on Social Prevention of Violence and Crime, which details actions focused on addressing risk factors, promoting community cohesion, and strengthening the social fabric.

Furthermore, considerations regarding Evaluation and Trust Control were discussed, which are key to make sure that security institutions have personnel who are ethical, well-trained, and certified according to national standards.
Civil and military Authorities were in this reunion co-chaired by Jorge Daniel Jimenez Lona, Secretary of Government of Guanajuato.
