Following the tragic events that occurred in the community of Loma de Flores, in the municipality of Salamanca, Municipal, State, and Federal Authorities agreed to strengthen institutional coordination to address the situation, advance the investigations, and reinforce security in the area.

During a work meeting held at the C4 in Salamanca, the Secretary of Government, Jorge Daniel Jimenez Lona, reiterated the support of the State Government to the municipality and stressed that the path to achieving results is through joint work.

“We have instructions from Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo to provide full support. We are here to work as a team with the City Council and municipal authorities to respond with coordination, intelligence, and concrete actions,” said the Secretary.
Jimenez Lona stressed that there will be no impunity and that the institutions will continue working together to provide certainty to the public and advance in clarifying the facts.

The reunión was attended by General Gabriel Martinez Garcia, commander of the 16th Military Zone; Mayor of Salamanca, Cesar Prieto Gallardo; Secretary of Security and Peace of Guanajuato, Juan Mauro Gonzalez Martinez; and Attorney General of Guanajuato, Gerardo Vazquez Alatriste.
The Secretary of Security and Peace reported that the case has been closely monitored from the beginning, which has allowed for the generation of relevant information to strengthen the lines of investigation and operational actions in the field.

The State Attorney General confirmed that there has been significant progress in the investigation and reiterated that work will continue until those responsible are brought to justice, in accordance with due process.
As a result of this inter-institutional meeting, it was agreed to strengthen the presence and coordination of the security forces, as well as to implement preventive and operational actions to preserve public order and provide greater peace of mind to the families of Salamanca.


Mayor Cesar Prieto expressed his gratitude for the support and willingness of State and Federal authorities, and reiterated the importance of maintaining constant coordination to clarify the facts and address the needs of the municipality.
The Secretary of Government emphasized that the State will continue to support Salamanca with strategy, coordination, and constant work, reaffirming its commitment to protect families and contribute to the restoration of peace in the region.
