Guanajuato opens new paths and demonstrates to the world that it is a State with identity, deep history and a modern vision of tourism of experiences

Guanajuato is demonstrating to the world its commitment to forge new paths, offering identity, history, and a modern vision of experience-based tourism.
“We are ready to welcome you,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, at the conclusion of her participation in the 2026 International Tourism Fair (FITUR).
“There is a lot of interest in Guanajuato, in continuing to open this market. We have managed to secure some important investments, and we will make announcements in due course. Today, Guanajuato continues to be a favorite destination, and cities like San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato City are places that capture the heart of our visitors,” the Governor emphasized.
During this productive working tour in Madrid, Spain, Governor Libia Dennise and the delegation made up of mayors and the team of the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, have managed to participate in more than 80 business meetings for 13 Municipalities; 10 meetings with international business partners; and 70 interviews for 13 Municipalities.
Libia participated in three meetings with international hotel chains; three meetings with international organizations; and signed an international collaboration agreement with Castilla La Mancha.
Also, during this tour of Spain, Governor Libia Dennise led two meetings with airlines, one international (Air Europa) and the other with the Aeromexico team.
This meeting was attended by Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales; Teresa Cid Cabello, Director of Communication; Orlando Mata Vaquera, Communication Coordinator and Rodrigo Sandoval Piemonte, Bank Manager; the goal is to continue strengthening Guanajuato’s connectivity with the world.
“This meeting is part of our ongoing work to connect our State with global agencies, airlines, tourism developers, and international media, opening up more opportunities for our people. We will continue working like this, reaching out and forging alliances so that our people have more opportunities,” said Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
