The Guanajuato Health Secretary offers public a fun and educational booth designed to help identify and manage emotions at an early age at the Leon Fair 2026.

“The stand operates through a basketball game for children, while also screening adults for chronic non-communicable diseases and promoting the health services available to our people,” said the State Secretary of Health Gabriel Cortes Alcala.
At the booth, which will be open starting at 10:00 am, Monday through Sunday, during the Fair, a basketball game is played, whhere the players select and match balls printed with emoticons with their matching “partners,” displayed on a LED screen in front of the basket. Once a match is found, players shoot to score points. A souvenir is given out at the end.

The Secretary of Health reported that the stand will be staffed by health personnel specializing in psychology and social work in Health Jurisdiction VII, to carry out a rapid detection during the dynamic, and informing the appropriateness of care if necessary.
While the child is participating in sports activities, mom and dad can undergo preventive screening for chronic non-communicable diseases.

The stand has a free screening room, nutrition advice, distribution of dental supplies, and if needed, an appoitment at your nearest People’s Health Center.
