Leon/Gto News
With the commitment to protect and promote maternal and child health, the Secretary of Health of the State of Guanajuato is promoting two breastfeeding rooms installed by the Fair Board and the Poliforum of Leon, the goal is to provide dignified, safe and comfortable spaces to feed babies.

The rooms are located one in the pergola area and the other in the Poliforum area in room C4, and will be available from January 9 to 20 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., for all mothers attending this event.

One of these breastfeeding rooms is managed by the board of the Leon fair, the other by the Poliforum of Leon. Users are received by students of the University of Guanajuato who are highly trained in the subject to guide breastfeeding mothers.
The State Secretary of Health, Gabriel Cortes Alcala, invited mothers to use these spaces, highlighting that breastfeeding is a fundamental act for the integral development of children.

Breastfeeding offers numerous benefits for babies, including strengthening the immune system, preventing respiratory and gastrointestinal infections, and promoting better physical and emotional development. It also fosters a strong bond between mother and child, providing security and well-being from the first months of life.
The Secretary of Health reaffirms its commitment to promote breastfeeding and the right of mothers to have optimal spaces to feed their babies, even during mass events, always prioritizing the well-being of Guanajuatense families.
