Tu Puedes supports entrepreneurs in Penjamo

Young entrepreneurs are supported as part of the program “Creemos en Ti” of the Finance and Support Tu Puedes Guanajuato

Women and young people from urban and rural areas of the municipality of Penjamo received the economic support “We Believe in You” from the People’s Government, through the Financial and Support Fund “Tu Puedes Guanajuato,” with which they can realize their dream of starting or growing their small business.

At an event held in the city of Penjamo, 95 entrepreneurs arrived early at the Los Sabinos New Beginning Center to receive their support checks.

“These support programs are a commitment that Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo made from the formation of her government, as it is necessary to reduce these gaps of financial exclusion; that support and financing reach the entrepreneurs who need them, whether to start a small business or strengthen the one they already have and want to make bigger,” said Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of Financiera de la Gente.

“That’s why, now with Tu Puedes Guanajuato, real opportunities are opening up where there were once obstacles; today, entrepreneurs are not alone in making their ventures a reality, because they have the Financiera de la Gente to develop those business skills through the Entrepreneur’s Initial Workshop and access to support to make their dreams come true,” said Ivon.

The Official explained that, “We Believe in You,” is a non-refundable financial support of 7,000 pesos, which is given to the selected participants of the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop, after prior registration through a regional call that is published on social networks and on the official page of Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato.

So far this year, Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato has granted 24.5 million pesos with the program “We Believe in You”, benefiting 3,500 entrepreneurial people in 42 of the 46 municipalities.

Maria Guadalupe Minguela is a 54-year-old entrepreneur. She has two children and is single, so three months ago she decided to start a business selling women’s clothing and accessories. She needs to generate her own income to support her children.

“A friend told me about this support, she told me about the call for applications, I registered and came to the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop a month ago. They called me to receive this support and I still can’t believe it, but I am very happy,” said Lupita.

The “People’s Finance” is advancing in its objective of reducing the financial exclusion gap, by facilitating access to financing and support for entrepreneurs to start businesses, said Ivon Padilla Hernandez.
