High school students participated in the 1st RoboRAVE EMS 2025 Tournament and the Guanajuato STEAM event, a day organized by the Government of the People, through the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato (SEG), where the best robotics, science and innovation projects were awarded, consolidating Guanajuato as a national benchmark in technological education.

The RoboRAVE EMS 2025 Tournament

The RoboRAVE EMS 2025 Tournament featured the Fire Fighting and Line Following categories. In Fire Fighting, teams designed autonomous robots capable of detecting and turning off light sources. The winners were Firefighter Paxtle from TBC UVEG in first place, Firebots from CONALEP Guanajuato in second, and Endefire from CBTIS 75 of DGETI in third.

In Line Following, where the robots traveled a circuit following marked lines in the shortest possible time, the winners were Jamaicatron from TBC UVEG, Gigantes de Acero from CECYTE Guanajuato and Cecybot Valle from CECYTE Guanajuato.

Award-winning projects in the STEAM Challenge

The STEAM Challenge brought together projects aimed at solving real problems in the school and social environment, highlighting applications, technological prototypes, data-based solutions, 3D printing and video games.

The winning projects were Innova Hands from the Militarized High School “Batallon Primer Ligero” in Celaya, Flash Dunk from the Bivalent Talent High School in Irapuato, and Semillitas Financieras from the DGETI Irapuato campus, which received prizes such as HUAWEI tablets, Instax Mini cameras, and Arduino robotics kits.

Leaders in invention and innovation are recognized

Awards were also given to the outstanding teams in the “Leader in Invention-Innovation Projects” Certification, whose objective is to develop skills to lead technological projects through cutting-edge methodologies aligned with the STEAM approach.

This year, 93 projects were submitted, and 15 outstanding works were selected, developed by students and teachers from subsystems. The featured projects included developments in security, sustainability, automation, biotechnology, and technological design.

The Education Delegate in Leon, Alfredo Ling Altamirano, representing the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato, Luis Ignacio Sanchez Gomez, led the ceremony and toured the projects, recognizing the talent, creativity and commitment of the young participants.

Candy Sarai Guerrero Ramirez, a student from CONALEP Silao and winner of first place in the National WER, highlighted that these spaces represent the beginning of dreams that can be projected to international competitions and thanked the People’s Government for bringing the young close to new technologies.

The event, held at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Campus in Leon, aimed to strengthen young people’s interest in science, technology, and creative problem-solving through high-impact activities that foster critical thinking and innovation.
