The CALEA “Triple Arch” accreditation distinguishes institutions that meet the highest international standards in public security, police professionalization, and emergency response

With this the Secretary of Security and Peace remains the State agency with the most years of continuity with this recognition in Mexico.

Guanajuato/Gto News

The Secretary of Security and Peace achieved, for the third consecutive time, the international “Triple Arch” accreditation granted by the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).

During the CALEA hearing held in Jacksonville, Florida, three agencies of the State dependency were simultaneously accredited:

  • The State Public Security Forces (FSPE)
  • The State Public Safety Training Institute (INFOSPE)
  • The State C5i System

This is how the Secretary of Security and Peace remains the State agency with the longest time under this recognition in Mexico.

Juan Mauro Gonzalez, head of this department, emphasized that this accreditation is proof that security is based on what citizens see every day, such as patrols, seizures and presence on highways, as well as what is behind it: protocols, training, controls, supervision, clear processes and an accountable institution.

This accreditation distinguishes institutions that meet the highest international standards in public security, police professionalization, and emergency response.

State Public Security Forces (FSPE)

This accreditation strengthens operational and administrative management, ensuring that all procedures are carried out with professionalism, ethics, transparency, rational use of force, and respect for human rights. It also allows for the standardization of patrol, supervision, incident response, and information management protocols, improving institutional coordination and operational effectiveness.

State Institute for Public Security Training (INFOSPE)

In the area of police training, accreditation ensures that the preparation of new officers meets principles of quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. The curricula are aligned with international best practices, promoting training based on competencies, leadership, ethics, and technical skills.

State C5i System

The accreditation confirms that emergency response and dispatch operate according to criteria of precision, speed, and professionalism. This strengthens coordination with State, Municipal, and Federal institutions, as well as with emergency services, civil protection agencies, medical services, and the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).

CALEA accreditation programs certify the existence of standardized processes, technological security, and critical information protection mechanisms, essential for a timely and reliable response.

CALEA’s accreditation managers reviewed 132 police agencies for this edition, including 7 Mexican agencies.
