With the “Knocking on Doors” initiative, the State Cabinet members visit homes in Guanajuato to share government programs and hear firsthand about the needs of families

“Less procedures, more citizenship” The People’s Government’s Decalogue makes it clear: the true opportunities and needs of the population are on the streets, in their homes, and that is where we must reach them.
Following instructions from the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the heads of the State Cabinet are reaching out to the homes of Guanajuatense families through the “Knocking on Doors” program, a strategy that seeks to listen, support, and bring government programs directly to each person’s doorstep.
With this initiative, the People’s Government reinforces its commitment to work from the trust of homes, promoting well-being, equal opportunities, and social development through daily interaction with citizens. As the Governor has stated: “Not everyone can come to government; the government has to go to the people, to their homes.”
During each visit, the secretaries listen to families firsthand, facilitate solutions through government actions, resolve doubts, address needs, manage support, and, most importantly, build community.
In this first phase, the organisms of the State Cabinet that have already begun tours are:
- The Tu Puedes Funds, with its head, Ivon Padilla, in Uriangato
- Tourism and Identity, with Guadalupe Robles, in Abasolo
- The State DIF, with Alfonso Borja, in Salvatierra
- The New Beginning Secretary, with Rosario Corona, in Atarjea and Xichu
- The Health Secretary, with Gabriel Cortes, in San Felipe
Every day becomes an opportunity to fulfill a promise: to share, to accompany, to listen, and to resolve.
The program will continue this Monday, October 27, in various municipalities such as:
- Tierra Blanca, with Arcelia Gonzalez and the Secretary of Honesty
- Manuel Doblado, with Liz Esparza and the Secretary of Human Rights
- Irapuato, with Juan Pablo Perez and the Secretary of Public Works
- Cueramaro, with Hector Salgado and the Secretary of Finance
- Celaya, with Regina Trujillo and the Juventudes Institute
- Victoria, with Itzel Balderas and the Secretary of Women
- Purisima del Rincon, with Graciela Amaro and the Institute of Planning, Statistics, and Geography
