Purisima and Irapuato are ‘Best’ in Engineering

Guanajuato’s technologic universities in Irapuato and Purisima del  Rincon are recognized among the best engineering institutions of Mexico

Guanajuato stands out nationally for the quality of its technological education. The Irapuato and Purísima del Rincón Higher Technological Institutes, both part of the National Institute of Technology of Mexico (TecNM), were recognized by the National Association of Engineering Faculties and Schools (ANFEI) as among the Best Engineering Institutions of Mexico in 2025 .

The Irapuato Higher Technological Institute (ITESI) has earned the ANFEI 2025 Gold Award for meeting high standards of educational quality.

Among the criteria evaluated are:

• 100% enrollment in accredited programs, certification of its processes, national recognition in research, innovation, and networking, and the existence of a graduate program within the National Graduate System: the Master’s Degree in Electronics

Furthermore, ITESI maintains a strong connection with the productive sector, with a Council made up of more than 30 companies from the Guanajuato industrial corridor, strengthening the relevance and application of knowledge in the workplace.

Meanwhile, the TecNM Purisima del Rincon Campus received the ANFEI 2025 Recognition in the Silver category, a distinction that reaffirms its commitment to educational quality.

The TecNM Purisima del Rincon presents:

• Fully accredited academic programs, a first-class infrastructure, scientific research projects, international ISO 9001, 14001, and 50001 certifications, and is certified as a Level 3 Social and Labor Responsibility Company

This achievement also reflects the talent and commitment of the faculty, as well as the students and graduates, several of whom were recently recognized by ANFEI for their academic excellence in various engineering fields.

Both awards will be presented at the 30th ANFEI General Meeting of Directors 2025, which will take place on November 7 in Torreón, Coahuila, where the award-winning institutions will be honored.

These recognitions confirm the strength of the technological education system in Guanajuato, where more than 8,000 students from ITESI and hundreds more from TecNM Purísima del Rincón benefit from quality educational services, comprehensive training, and opportunities to develop in an environment of innovation and excellence.
