The first congress on water and environmental culture was held at the Purisima del Rincon Higher Technological Institute.
The event was organized by the Secretary of Water and Environment (SAMA), and was aimed to create a space for reflection, opinions, and successful experiences from renowned and prominent speakers dedicated to water and environmental protection.
The congress became a space for dialogue, learning, and action, where more than 400 young people, academics, and experts in the field debated the importance of this vital liquid and environmental protection as key pillars of health, development, and life.
Secretary Jose Lara Lona said that in the Government of the People, under the vision and leadership of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, protecting water and the environment is a priority and a pillar of this New Beginning for the People of Guanajuato.
“We have gathered not only to share knowledge and experiences but also to promote and consolidate a common hope: water conservation, caring for the environment around us, and building a sustainable and clean future for all,” Lara Lona said.
The Official said that the congress, more than an academic or institutional event, is a great platform for innovation, collaboration, and collaborative efforts where all voices are heard, where knowledge and will are combined to become the guide and path toward a more resilient world, where human beings understand their permanent connection with nature.
Speakers and experts in the field shared with attendees topics on environmental education, water culture, and comprehensive and sustainable water resource management, including:
