The People’s Government invests more than 69 million pesos in Santiago Maravatio

For the government of the People, citizen trust is always highly valued, and therefore nothing strengthens it more than responding with actions and transparency.
Representing Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of the Tu Puedes Guanajuato Finance and Support Fund, attended the first report of the Santiago Maravatio City Council, headed by Mayor Jose Guadalupe Paniagua Cardoso.
The head of the People’s Finance Corporation said that this event represents an exercise in accountability and also an opportunity to strengthen the working relationship and respect between the Government and society.
“It’s also an opportunity to maintain dialogue as a tool for building a better municipality and a better quality of life for families. A year ago, you began this journey with the firm and enthusiastic aspiration of making public administration more efficient and accessible to every citizen,” said Ivon.
“And along the way, the People’s Government has stood by you, supporting you in your efforts and supporting development projects and serving the neighborhoods and communities in each municipality,” said the Official.
Padilla said that, during this State Administration, as of June of this year, more than 69 million pesos have been invested in public works and initiatives to benefit the people of Santiago de Maravatio.
Among the most relevant completed works Ivon Padilla Hernandez mentioned:
- Rehabilitation of the rural road connecting the highway to Rancho Viejo
- Rehabilitation of the civic plaza on Obregon Street, in the city center, and the main garden of the Santa Rita de Casia community
- Construction of the second phase of the water system in Santa Rita de Casia, and another phase in the municipal seat, among other
Santiago Maravatio’s works in progress are:
- The first stage of the construction of a New Beginning Center
Regarding the social programs, Ivon said that the following actions are carried out:
- 1,495 housing improvement actions; 11 support projects for productive projects; 357 scholarships for people; 44 homes with solar heaters installed; 150 beneficiaries with temporary employment; 584 backpacks and 547 school supply packages delivered in the previous cycle; 2,091 Pink Cards; 185 agricultural support projects; and 20 financing projects for people
“You have witnessed the governing style of this New Beginning, with a Governor who governs from the ground up, not from a desk. She travels through the municipalities of Guanajuato to connect with the people,” said Ivon.
Ivon also said that Guanajuato is a government allied with women, with the first female Governor; the Parity Cabinet, the Secretary for Women, the “Allies” Strategy with 20 support programs for women, and the Pink Card, which benefits more than 654,000 women in Guanajuato.
The head of the People’s Finance Corporation said that these are just some of the projects and actions the People’s Government is carrying out in this municipality.
