The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, officially launched the Statewide distribution of free school supplies and backpacks for elementary school students, an initiative that will benefit more than 586,000 girls and boys throughout the State during the 2025-2026 school year.

“What we want in Guanajuato is for our girls and boys to be in the classroom, to continue studying to fulfill their dreams, because girls and boys, you know what? You are the most beautiful thing we have in Guanajuato,” said the Governor.

From the Isidro Rivera Juarez Elementary School in Romita, the Governor reaffirmed her belief that “education is the most powerful tool for changing lives,” and emphasized that this strategy seeks to create equitable conditions so that no student is left behind due to a lack of materials.

In this first phase, corresponding to the Irapuato Regional Delegation IV, 157,069 kits and backpacks will be distributed, of which 8,181 correspond to Romita. The kits are adapted to the grade level and include notebooks, pencils, crayons, geometry sets, highlighters, scissors, and other supplies, as well as durable and functional backpacks.

“We want to embrace you, care for you, pamper you, and have you return to school motivated; that’s why we’re delivering these supplies today, and why we will also continue with our school improvement program,” said the State Governor.

At the school supply distribution, the Governor was with the Mayor of Romita, the leaders of the National Union of Education Workers of Guanajuato, from Section 15, Teacher Jorge Miguel Cardenas Garcia, and from Section 45, Teacher Juan Rigoberto Macias Vidales.

Investment is delivered in the productive heart of the State

At the City baseball field in Romita, the Governor led the delivery of direct support to Farming producers as part of the Agricultural Technology, Productive Livestock, and Productive Family programs, promoted by the Secretary of Rural Affairs.

Thanks to a joint investment of more than 2.7 million pesos by the State Government, beneficiaries, and the municipality, tractors, sprayers, seeders, backyard poultry packs, nixtamal mills, griddles, milking equipment, trailers, tools, and more were delivered with the goal of modernizing the farms, improving production, and strengthening families’ finances.

“I want to tell you that you are not alone, that we will continue working with you to promote these support programs. There are many here who will receive support for the countryside today, but there are many others who are not here today and who also need this support. We will reach out to you, to where you are, to continue promoting the farms of Guanajuato,” said Governor Libia Dennise.

Participating in the work tour were: the Mayor of Romita, Pedro Tanamachi Reyes and other State Officials and legislators.

The People’s Government reaffirmed its commitment to education, social development, and the farmlands, putting families at the center and building a Guanajuato of opportunities for all.
