The Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, confirmed the incorporation of Leon to the CDMX-Guadalajara Interurban Train and the creation of four high schools in Celaya during the visit to Guanajuato of the President of the Republic.
“Today, we are two women who govern; our President who governs Mexico and your Governor of the People. Here we show that there are no colors that divide us when it comes to work for Guanajuato and for Mexico,” said Governor of Guanajuato Libia Dennise at the opening of the Scholarship Assistance Center (CABB) in Celaya.
In an act of collaboration between the Government of Mexico and the Government of Guanajuato, the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise, and the President of Mexico, led a working tour of the State.
This tour reinforces the work for women, health, and education and translates into actions that strengthen opportunities for Guanajuatense families.
Governor Libia Dennise acknowledged the federal government’s commitment to Guanajuato, where the Free Center for Women was inaugurated in Silao and the construction of the new IMSS General Hospital in the capital city of Guanajuato was supervised. Libia also announced the creation of four evening high schools in Celaya, located in secondary school buildings that only offer morning classes.
During the inauguration of the CABB, the Governor thanked the President of Mexico for the projects being worked on together for Guanajuato.
“President, we want to thank you for working hand in hand. Here in Guanajuato, you have an ally who will continue working, who will continue building with you, because what drives us here is working for our people,” said Governor Libia Dennise.
The President of Mexico reaffirmed her commitment to work together for the security of the people of Guanajuato.
“As the Governor rightly said, we are working together here. We know there are still security issues. We are working on them every day, and there are no differences, we always reach an agreement for the well-being of the people of Guanajuato,” said the President of Mexico.
Among the notable strategic projects already underway between the Federation and the State are:
- The Bajio Logistics Gateway
- The Mexico City-Guadalajara Train, which passes through Celaya, Salamanca, Irapuato, and Leon (confirmed in the event by the President)
- The Solis Aqueduct
- The Field Irrigation Technification Program
The Governor reiterated that Guanajuato will continue working hand in hand with the Government of Mexico on key issues like social development, infrastructure, and security.
Construction of IMSS hospital is supervised
The leaders conducted a supervisory visit to the new IMSS hospital in Guanajuato, which is 62.4% complete.
It will be the Zone No. 10 General Hospital:
- With a capacity of 72 beds
- It will offer outpatient services in 23 specialties
The specialties include:
- Cardiology, General Surgery, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Prenatal Care, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Ophthalmology, Traumatology and Orthopedics, Otorhinolaryngology, among other
The new HGZ will replace the current Subzone No. 10 General Hospital, which began operations in 1979 and provides services to approximately 226,000 patients.
The investment is approximately 1.199 billion pesos, and it is being built on a site of more than 31,000 square meters. This hospital will benefit more than 215,000 beneficiaries from other municipalities in the region, such as San Jose Iturbide, Dolores Hidalgo, and San Luis de la Paz.
