In addition to benefiting more than 500,000 residents of 22 neighborhoods and communities connected by the Paseo de la Altiplanicie Boulevard, better known as the Villas de Irapuato Boulevard, the modernization of this road represents a boost to the region’s economic development, generating 60 direct jobs and 70 indirect jobs.

“This roadway strengthens connectivity and has a positive impact on the social and economic development of Guanajuatense families. This is what our Governor, Libia Dennise, has asked from us: that through each project, we promote improvements in the quality of life for citizens,” said Juan Pablo Perez Beltran, head of the Secretary of Public Works (SOP).

The project, which began on May 9, is progressing as scheduled and is 9.8% complete. Work is currently underway to prepare the foundation for the new road structure.
In addition, pneumatic tests are being conducted to verify the proper installation of storm and sanitary drainage lines, and earthworks and drainage are being reworked due to recent rains.

The project creates a significant number of jobs, thanks to the investment allocated for its execution, which totals $99’995,793 pesos.
The People’s Government continues working to create infrastructure, jobs and opportunities for families.
