Health extends medical care shifts in Ibarra

The Secretary of Health continues with sanitation actions through health regulation actions

Appointments at the Primary Health Care Medical Unit -UMAPS- in Ibarra, in Ocampo, have been strengthened to provide comprehensive care to residents.

The primary level of health care refers to the basic and accessible care provided to the population in health centers, clinics, and health posts, acting as the gateway to the health system. 

This level focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, treatment of common problems, and referral to higher levels when necessary. 

The Health Secretary Gabriel Cortes Alcala informed after a visit to Ibarra, following the flooding of more than 130 homes.

Cortes reported that health promotion measures are also being implemented to ensure proper food handling, with the provision of colloidal silver so people can disinfect their food and consume it safely.

In addition, cisterns are cleaned to ensure the water in the wells is in perfect condition and its proper use.

Nearly 160 homes were affected, and cleanup efforts in the area continue with support from various corporations and individuals who have joined the cause.
