In Guanajuato actions are consolidated for the attention of the Natural Protected Areas
Guanajuato/Gto News
The Secretary of Water and Environment and the municipality of Guanajuato delivered equipment and supplies to rural brigades in the Natural Protected Areas of the State Capital.

The equipment, including helmets with goggles, machetes, combat shirts and long-sleeved cotton shirts, gloves, and forestry rakes, will allow specialized and operational personnel in these areas to carry out preventive actions such as opening and maintaining firebreaks, conducting fire risk identification surveys, fuel management, pruning low branches, and giving outreach talks on fire prevention.

The tools will allow them to perform their duties safely and efficiently and are a recognition of their dedication and efforts in protecting the Natural Areas.
Currently, 14 brigades are active throughout the State of Guanajuato, in 14 municipalities, with 115 brigade members.

Protected Natural Areas are vital lungs for the entire State, they are home to biodiversity, water sources, and recreation and learning spaces. Their preservation is crucial to ensuring a sustainable future for future generations.
These actions by the People’s Government contribute to the protection of natural resources by preventing forest fires in areas at risk, reducing their impact.
