Through the Industry Connection program, COFOCE connects Guanajuato artisanal businesses with international buyers, strengthening vocational sectors and generating opportunities with economic and social impact

With the goal of opening new markets for Guanajuatense products and strengthening economic development with social impact, COFOCE, with the drive and vision of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, a firm promoter of inclusive regional development, organized a business reunion of seven companies in the artisans sector and a renowned U.S. retailer with a presence in 44 US States and more than 1,800 stores.
These types of meetings, developed through the Industry Connection Program, are part of a comprehensive strategy that not only promotes exports but also bolsters the traditional vocational sectors of Guanajuato, such as ceramics, pottery, textiles, and wood, by integrating them into global value chains.
This way, COFOCE contributes to strengthen the economic and cultural fabric of communities.
Among the participating companies are:
- Artesanos Gamez, Ceramex, Esencia Dolorense, Talavera Rea, Artsoba, Talavera San Pablo and Aca Tetik, mostly from the municipality of Dolores Hidalgo, a national benchmark in artisanal production
The international buyer expressed interest in acquiring up to eight containers per month, and stipulated that the first shipment be financed by suppliers.
Faced with this challenge, COFOCE offered advice on financial factoring schemes and legal support for establishing companies in the United States, facilitating logistics and commercial processes with the final customer.
These actions reaffirm COFOCE’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable exports, which not only generate commercial opportunities but also dignify traditional trades and improve the quality of life of Guanajuatense families.
The Government of the People, through COFOCE, the only national organization dedicated exclusively to promote exports, will continue to lead strategic projects for the economic development of Guanajuato, promoting constant, equitable growth with a deep social sense, as driven by the vision of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
