The People’s Government supports MSMEs to generate employment and foster prosperity

The International Automotive Mechanics Expo celebrated its twenty-fifth edition, consolidating its position as the main meeting point for the automotive sector in Mexico and Latin America.
The People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, promotes platforms for the economic development of Guanajuato and the strengthening of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs).
The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, noted the event’s visibility for local businesses and industrial connection, bringing together manufacturers, distributors, auto parts stores, and workshops to promote innovation, professionalization, and collaboration throughout the entire production chain.
“This connection must be transversal and interlinked. Each of you are a key player in ensuring that this economy becomes increasingly integrated with these types of events. We welcome you to Guanajuato and thank you for your trust in hosting the most important specialized vehicle parts and repair exhibition in Latin America,” said Villasenor.
The International Automotive Mechanic Expo features more than 1,000 exhibitors, including five Marca Guanajuato companies, showcasing the latest trends in vehicle parts and repairs. Last year’s event registered sales exceeding 200 million pesos, a figure expected to be surpassed this year.
The event is organized by the National Confederation of Mechanical Workshops, which has 50 member companies that generate between 8,000 and 12,000 direct jobs.
During the two-day event, 130 free diagnostic and repair seminars were offered, with a special focus on electromobility and support for electric and hybrid vehicles.
The event noted its commitment to sustainability through the responsible management of hazardous waste. Collaboration with universities and business organizations strengthens the development of local talent and education link.
With an estimated attendance of 18,500, 4,475 square meters of exhibition space, and spaces dedicated to inclusion and female empowerment, the Expo is positioned as a national and international benchmark.
The People’s Government, through the Ministry of Economy and the National Confederation of Mechanical Workshops, reaffirms its commitment to innovation, prosperity, and the development of Guanajuato and the automotive sector.
