The CONMIGOBERNADORA Children’s Caravan brings fun and joy to more than 1,200 students at the Centenario de la Constitucion de 1917 Elementary School

“The most beautiful thing about Guanajuato is its girls and boys! That’s why we’re so happy to celebrate you,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.

As part of the celebration of Children’s’ Day, Libia Dennise, and the President of the State DIF, Juan Carlos Montesinos Carranza, led the CONMIGOBERNADORA Children’s Caravan “Festilandia,” which took place at the Centenario de la Constitucion de 1917 Elementary School, with more than 1,200 students in attendance.

“Enjoy being children. We love you all in Guanajuato and wish you a Happy Day!” said the Governor, who socialized and participated in the activities held during the caravan.
The purpose of the Children’s Caravan is to conduct education activities and games to help students identify government services, with the participation of 25 departments or entities of the People’s Government.

Forty-seven activities were held for students between the ages of 6 and 12, attending the afternoon and morning classes at the Centenario de la Constitucion de 1917 Elementary School.
Among the activities, courses included balloon twisting, fantasy makeup (face painting), jewelry making, and environmental film.



Inflatable soccer fields, a Bear Hospital, and a “Finances on the Run” rally were set up to teach basic concepts about public and personal finance in a fun and engaging way. Cooperative games for peace were held, along with a mini-farm, puppet shows, a concert, a play, themed lottery games, storytelling, and snakes and ladders (honesty and corruption).

In addition to soccer tennis, board games, virtual reality headsets, a math lab, a consciousness station, drawing, a catwalk, a ball pit, basta, bowling and Jenga, talks on digital security, baking, and Zumba.
Rally with physical activities, soccer with penalty shootouts and 3-on-3 matches, puppet shows for children, recreational activities and games related to science, math, environmental education, astronomy, and skill and memory games.



After the event to celebrate Guanajuatense children the Governor stopped by a crushed ice stand and fruit on a street in Villas de San Juan in Leon.
“With this heat, we wanted crushed ice so much and stopped to buy some. El Chulo and I had to stop, I asked for my favorite from childhood: vanilla and redcurrant”, said the Governor.
