More than 521 million euros are allocated to equipment and training for State and municipal agencies. Resources for Public Security increase by 3.8%
Coordination work with the Executive Secretary of the National Public Security System have come to an end for now

In an exercise of joint responsibility by the Federal Government and the Government of the State of Guanajuato, an investment of 521 million 883 thousand 033 pesos was achieved to strengthen the security and well-being of Guanajuatenses.
Of this amount:
- 380 million 150 thousand 608 pesos correspond to the allocation of federal resources
- The People’s Government will contribute 141 million 732 thousand 425 pesos
This happened after federal authorities, led by Marcela Figueroa Franco, head of the Executive Secretary of the National Public Security System, met at the institution’s facilities with the Guanajuato State team, led by Adrian Mata Osio, to put an end to the coordination works for the Public Security Contribution Fund (FASP) and the Public Security Institution Strengthening Fund (FOFISP) 2025.
Mata Osio, executive secretary of the Guanajuato State Public Security System, highlighted the importance of optimizing these funds as a key tool for transforming the State’s public security model, as well as the importance of continuing coordination between both levels of government.
In this context, the State official outlined the vision promoted by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo through the “CONFÍA” strategy, focused on strengthening security institutions through concrete and effective actions.
A 3.8% increase in resources for the 2025 Public Security Contribution Fund (FASP) was announced, which translates into an investment of 423 million 673 thousand 299 pesos.
Meanwhile, 98 million 209 thousand 734 pesos will be invested in the 2025 Public Security Institution Strengthening Fund (FOFISP), for strengthening equipment and training state and municipal agencies.
The Government of the State of Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment to the safety of the Guanajuatenses and to the strengthening of the effective implementation of security strategies.
