The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, received one by one the citizens who approached to ask for support and greet her. In the second ConMiGobernadora caravan in Manuel Doblado, sitting face to face with the people, the Governor listened to and personally channeled the requests of all the people who lined up to be served.
“We are here to serve you and I will be here personally, listening to you, attending you, channeling your requests; because sometimes we want to speak directly with the Governor, so here I am and here I will stay to listen to you,” said Libia.
In a close dialogue, people asked the Governor for medical support for surgeries, basic services for their communities or colonies, financing for entrepreneurs, among other.
The fairs of services and procedures will reach the public squares of the 46 municipalities, offering 72 services, with officials willing to help or guide to solve doubts and concerns.
The fair of procedures and government services welcomed all the people who came looking for everything from a vaccine to procedures or changes to their birth certificates.
“Today I tell you that this Government is here with you, this Government belongs to the people and we have to be where people are. That is why we are here today with more than 21 agencies, we have procedures and services that we are bringing to you,” said the Governor.
Municipalities also provide information on their public services and collect data to monitor rural issues and economic and social development.
The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, and Mayor, Gustavo Adolfo Alfaro Reyes, met with farmers from Manuel Doblado, to launch the Biological Corridor, as part of the MD Hydrological Macroproject.
The Biological Corridor’s actions include the planting of 20 thousand trees in the impact zone of this large project.
“I am pleased that in this task of strengthening the Guanajuatense countryside, the Government of Manuel Doblado and its mayor, Gustavo Adolfo Alfaro Reyes, are doing an extraordinary job. Proof of this is the Hydrological Macroproject, an initiative that aims to improve water management and prevent flooding in the region,” said the Governor.
“In the Government of the People we value the work of the people of the countryside, because you have our support, and by working together with the Municipality we will improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the communities of Manuel Doblado,” said Libia Dennise.
The new phase of the MD Hydrological Macroproject seeks to mitigate the risk of flooding due to the overflow of the Turbio River, the Isabelota Stream, the Machigüis Stream and La Ladera Stream; in addition to rebuilding and desilting dams to achieve greater water intake; rehabilitate irrigation ditches to achieve greater efficiency and lower water consumption, and avoid flooding and damage on more than 11,000 hectares of farmland and 10 communities.
