Monterey Mushrooms celebrates 30 years of success in Guanajuato, consolidating itself as a key pillar in the agroindustrial sector

Guanajuato has established itself as a model in economic development both nationally and internationally, thanks to its optimal conditions for investment, growth and consolidation of local, national and international companies.
This dynamic environment has generated opportunities to strengthen the local economy and provide a better quality of life for Guanajuatenses through more and better jobs.
The Secretary of Economy of Guanajuato, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, reaffirmed the commitment and support of the Government of the People, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, to promote competitiveness and the strengthening of companies, regardless of their size or line of business.
“Our goal is to generate actions and programs that favor the competitiveness of companies, creating an environment conducive to their continued growth and contributing to the well-being of the people of Guanajuato,” said Villasenor Aguilar.
A clear example of this business trust is reflected in the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Monterey Mushrooms in Guanajuato. Since its arrival in the State, this company has proven to be a key ally in strengthening the agro-industrial sector, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the production of fresh mushrooms.
Thanks to its innovation and leadership, it has generated thousands of jobs and boosted economic development in the region.
“Celebrating three decades of Monterey Mushrooms in Guanajuato is recognizing a history of mutual trust, teamwork and a shared vision of prosperity for our people,” said the Secretary.
Guanajuato has managed to position itself as the fifth strongest economy in Mexico, standing out for its manufacturing capacity and its export vocation.
In 2023, the State reagistered a production of 1.1 billion pesos, occupying second place nationwide in manufacturing.
Furthermore, with more than 33 billion dollars in exports, Guanajuato is a leader among non-border states.
With a business ecosystem in constant growth, Guanajuato has 12 strategic clusters in key sectors such as:
- Logistics, aerospace, automotive, information technology, food and fashion, which has allowed for sustainable development and opened new opportunities for all
