The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, held the first program of the year, Connecting with the People; on this occasion she spoke about the Government Program, which, in the participation process integrates citizens in the analysis of each of its axes.
“We are working hard to build the Guanajuato of the future,” said the Governor, who was with Graciela Amaro Hernandez, head of the Institute of Planning, Statistics and Geography of the State of Guanajuato (IPLANEG).
During this interaction, it was noted that the creation of the Government Program, which integrates the vision of the Decalogue of the Government of the People, the current diagnosis of the State of Guanajuato with the review of indicators, the proposals received during the campaign, and the involvement of citizens through workshops and consultations.
This Program consists of six Government Axes:
- Tranquility: Security and justice as pillars of well-being
- Equality: Equal opportunities for all social sectors
- Trust: Transparency and proximity to government action
- Vocation: Education and cultural development as drivers of change
- Prosperity: Conditions to improve the local economy
- Harmony: Sustainability in the use of natural resources and territorial planning
In addition to these six axes, there are three transversal axes:
- Promotion of women
- Attention to youth
- Technological innovation and digitalization
“What we seek is for these axes to permeate all government policies,” said Libia Dennise.
To integrate citizen participation in this Government Program, four workshops were held covering the Northeast, North, Central and South regions, with representation from the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato.
“If there is one thing that has characterized Guanajuato, it is that we have a society that participates, that likes to raise its hand. This is seen in the participation in the workshops, where we listened to the voices of the people who attended and we attended to population groups,” said the Governor.
The Government Program must be presented within the first six months of the start of the State Administration, and on this occasion, as a special feature, it will, for the first time use artificial intelligence focused on the well-being of people.
“When I was campaigning, something that was very exciting was that people could easily access our government proposals. At that time, we developed a platform called ‘Esperanza’, which was a virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence, and among its functions it displayed specific information of interest to each person”, said Libia Dennise.
“Currently, with all the information available, this artificial intelligence will help us develop models as a proposal of what should be done in Guanajuato. This tool will help us be predictive and, above all, make the information much more accessible,” explained the Governor of the People.
This way, the virtual assistant named “Esperanza” will facilitate the consultation of this Government Program, with special attention to girls, boys and older adults.
Finally, the Governor invited citizens to continue participating in the development of this Government Program, through the website iplaneg.guanajuato.gob.mx and in person at the Nuevo Comienzo Centers in all regions of the State of Guanajuato.
