The Christmas Craft Festival celebrates local traditions and creativity with more than 33 artisans from 9 municipalities
From December 19 to January 5, the exhibition and sale of the pieces will be at Plaza de la Paz 14, in Guanajuato City

With the participation of 33 artisans from 9 municipalities and various craft events, from December 19 to January 5, at Plaza de la Paz 14, in Guanajuato City, the 2024 Christmas Craft Festival will be held.
Led by the Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo, this festival seeks to strengthen traditional sectors through marketing spaces that celebrate the beauty of handmade art.
The head of the Ministry of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, noted that creativity, tradition and identity come together to offer visitors and locals an unforgettable experience. This event also represents a significant boost for Guanajuatense crafts.
On this occasion, master craftsmen and women from the following municipalities are participating:
- Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato, Dolores Hidalgo CIN, Leon, Abasolo, Irapuato, San Miguel de Allende, Salamanca and Celaya
These master craftsmen and women present various products such as:
- Wood carving, jewelry, embroidery, sculpture, painting, honey products, typical sweets, ceramics, among other
Admission to the festival is completely free and opening hours are Monday to Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Christmas Craft Festival is an invitation to reconnect with Guanajuato’s roots by showcasing the work of artisans who, with patience and dedication, transform materials into true works of art.
This event is a unique opportunity to promote local consumption, directly supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises -MSMEs- that keep alive the cultural identity of Guanajuato.
Villasenor Aguilar called to consume local products and keep Guanajuato’s traditions and identity alive through products that capture the essence of the region.
