The Secretary of Security and Peace shares a series of recommendations and tips that are useful for those who plan to travel on Guanajuato’s highways during these Christmas holidays.

Identify the safest route: Know the cost of toll booths and calculate the time needed to reach your destination. It is important to consider that during these days, many people are planning to travel by road, so you should drive without rushing.

Respect traffic rules: Speed limits, broken lines, information panels and following the instructions of traffic officers are essential on public roads, which are also a space for safe coexistence.

Avoid distractions while driving: Do not use your cell phone, smoke or argue while driving.

Keep your distance: It is important to have a safe braking distance.

Seat belt: Always wear it, and at all times, it is the best defense against motorists who drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
