“This is an important avenue of development and communication for the people of this municipality and, if there is one thing we are committed to in this Government of the People, it is to continue generating works and actions that benefit families”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
Libia Dennise inaugurated the Technological Avenue Vehicular Underpass at the intersection of Mexico-Japan Avenue and emphasized that government work is a team effort and does not follow colors, since it is only for the benefit of the citizens.
“It is time for unity, it is time to work as a team, it is time to put aside any political or color differences we may have, because what matters here are the families of Celaya”, said Libia.
“Today is a clear example that there will be no color bias here, that what unites us here is our people, because the people trusted us and today we have to give them results,” said the Governor.
This project, carried out by the People’s Government, is one of the most important in Celaya for the needs of road infrastructure and urban development of the city, as it shortens travel time, avoids traffic congestions, improves urban connectivity and provides safety to drivers.
The overpass will speed up traffic for more than 47,386 vehicles that circulate daily through this intersection that connects the urban area of Celaya with the Queretaro-Irapuato highway and the Celaya-San Miguel de Allende highway, and will help with traffic conflicts in the area.
More than 289.9 million pesos were invested in its construction, through the Secretary of Public Works, for the direct benefit of more than 340 thousand inhabitants, as well as passing motorists.
The work has a length of 940 meters, with 4 traffic lanes, two in each direction; they are made of hydraulic concrete in the underpass and asphalt concrete in the side streets, with two traffic lanes, in each direction, on Avenida Tecnologico, and sidewalks.
The Mayor of Celaya, Juan Miguel Ramirez Sanchez, said that this work “will mark the history of Celaya” and reiterated that inter-institutional work offers prompt solutions to the needs of citizens.
