Cultural legacy is transmitted to students with an altar, parades, dances and literary skulls
At the La Corregidora School students and teachers held a celebration for the Day of the Dead to reinforce the Mexican roots

La Corregidora Elementary School in Valle de Santiago celebrated a Day of the Dead festival full of emotion and culture, paying tribute to teacher Alma Rosa Ayala Villarreal, former director of the institution who passed away in April 2022.
Teacher Alma Rosa is remembered for her human warmth and her years of service in education, the school community dedicated a special altar to her, promoting the memory of those who have gone ahead in an event that strengthens Mexican traditions.
The current director of La Corregidora, Julio Cesar Campos Solorzano, highlighted in his message that “these types of events are not only to celebrate, but to transmit a profound message, an essential legacy of Mexican culture that we must preserve.”
For the People’s Government led by Governor Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo, it is of utmost importance to support actions that promote a sense of belonging and human values in education.
At the festival, students participated in a catrinas parade, traditional dances, and presented verses that were presented on the mural newspaper for the enjoyment of the entire education community.
With warm applause, the students sent good wishes to their loved ones who have passed, in a show of respect and love that reaffirms the importance of our roots and traditions.
