‘Tourism will be key in this New Beginning’

The Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Lupita Robles Leon, invited the tourism sector to work in synergy, with commitment, dedication and a vision for the future to build a more prosperous and peaceful Guanajuato

The sectoral plan of the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, led by teacher Lupita Robles Leon, will be made from the voice of the people, of the tourism sector, in order to contribute and enhance growth in tourism in Guanajuato.

This is how teacher Lupita Robles Leon reiterated her commitment to the industry during the celebration of the 3rd Tourism Forum and Tianguis, organized by the Municipality of Irapuato within the celebration of World Tourism Day with the motto “Tourism and Peace”.

“Our Governor, Libia Dennis Garcia Munoz Ledo, has instructed us that in all decisions we make in Government, people must be at the center of all planning and strategy, Libia has also instructed us to guarantee respect, well-being and dignified treatment for all people,” said teacher Lupita Robles.

The Secretary recalled the commitment she made during her campaign. “At the time we were meeting and planning, I said that I would be a Secretary very close to you, that I would listen to you, that I would work hand in hand with the industry and that the Tourism Sector Plan would be made up of the voice of all of you,” said the Secretary.

Lupita Robles invited the tourism sector to work in synergy, with commitment, dedication and a vision for the future to build a more prosperous and peaceful Guanajuato. Tourism plays a key role in this New Path.

“I am here for all of you, thank you. The Governor, in her protest, told us that she did not want more windows, but that the Cabinet be present there, close to the people, and I am going to be touring the 46 municipalities, to listen to you because the value chain is very valuable,” said Robles.

“Today I feel very honored to be in Irapuato and celebrate the magic of traveling. Let us remember that tourism is a powerful tool to attract social development for all Guanajuatenses; tourism is a cultural exchange, it helps us to boost economic stability, reduce poverty, support education and the development of all the skills of the people of Guanajuato,” said the Secretary.

In this tourism forum -focused on making visible the results of collaborative work by the State and Municipal Governments and private initiatives- organizers held a successful tourist market that revealed the tours generated during the administration, as well as the leisure and recreation spaces that complement the city’s offering.
