“Guanajuato is the State with the best transparency practices in the application of public resources issued by the Federation”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor talked about the result of the observation of the 2022 Public Account issued by the Superior Audit of the Federation -ASF- to the Federal Chamber of Representatives.
“How important it is to have an open and transparent government; Guanajuato has been recognized as one of the States with the highest level of transparency,” said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo said that according to what was audited by the Federation, Guanajuato ranked second nationally, only after Mexico City, with fewer observations in the application of the federal budget.
“In Guanajuato the best thing is transparency, honesty and neat management of finances, because in the end, the money belongs to everyone,” said the Governor.
The ASF made observations to Guanajuato for 3.9 million pesos, which is equivalent to 0.01% of the resources sent by the Federation to the State.
This supervisory body has the power to review the application of public resources that the Federation has granted to the states and municipalities through participation in Branch 28, Branch 33 and other agreed resources.
On February 20, the ASF presented the third and final report corresponding to the review of the Public Account for fiscal year 2022 for states and municipalities. The audit involved 1,762 audits of federalized spending, of which 1,267 were audits. programmable federal spending (Branch 33 and agreements); 598 were audits of federal participations (Branch 28).
While 112 were audits of compliance with the Financial Discipline Law of Federal States and municipalities.
Guanajuato once again positioned itself as one of the model Federal States in the execution of public resources, since it had an observation for 3.9 million pesos of federal participations, which should be noted, the observation is of an administrative nature and is in the process of being resolved.
The Governor of Guanajuato reaffirmed its commitment to citizens to maintain best practices and continue as one of the leading federal States in terms of transparency and execution of public resources.
