On a work tour of Silao, Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, supervised and started road infrastructure works and actions, water, drainage and electrical energy networks where more than 83 million pesos were invested.
“These are works that, beyond the amounts, provide a better quality of life to people; having water is a blessing for everyone, these are works of which we come to bear witness, of teamwork and of what has to be done every day in Silao and in the state of Guanajuato”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“We come to fulfill them with works and actions; it is a commitment to the farmers and to move forward together”, said the Governor.
The tour began with the supervision of the rehabilitation work of the rural road to Rancho Seco, where the electrical energy network is also being expanded.
This road is being done by the Secretary of Agro-Food and Rural Development -SDAyR-, through the ‘Connecting My Rural Road’ program, to pave 300 meters of roads, where 1.79 million pesos are invested, with a 50-50 contribution by the State and Municipality, for the benefit of 546 residents of the community.
In this same community, the State Government, through the Secretary of Social and Human Development -SEDESHU- and the Municipality, are expanding the electrification network of Miguel Hidalgo, Vicente Guerrero and Privada Vicente Guerrero streets.
In this action, 1.8 million pesos are invested, of which the State and the Municipality also contribute in equal parts.
With SEDESHU’s ‘Beautifying My Colony’ program, Sinaloa Street was rehabilitated, in the section from Tlaxcala Street to Pedro Moreno Street, in the El Crucero borough.
The Governor supervised the paving work of 1.91 kilometers of the road to the San Francisco Puerta Grande community; it is the largest work in terms of rural roads in Silao in 2023.
The Governor also visited the rehabilitation works of the rural roads to Lucero de Ramales and Veta de Ramales.
An elevated drinking water tank was also put up to benefit the towns of Veta de Ramales and Lucero de Ramales with an investment of 3.67 million pesos, by the State and the Municipality. In addition the Drinking Water System network is installed in Veta de Ramales.
The first stage of the Sewer Network is also being built in the towns of Franco, Veta de Ramales and San Bartolo, where 34.2 million pesos are invested.
Mayor of Silao, Carlos Garcia Villasenor, thanked the Governor for his visit to Silao, and said that with this tour the word of improving the lives of citizens is being fulfilled, with works and actions carried out by the State and the Municipality.
“What we are doing in Silao is something historic. We are aware that we cannot do this work alone, we have to do it together; the best ally that both governments have at this moment is the citizen, because everything we do is thinking about the citizens,” said the Mayor.
