US Consul General in Mexico visits C5i

Mr. Scott M. Renner, the Consul General of the Embassy of the United States of America in Mexico,  visited the C5i State System of the Secretary of Public Security of Guanajuato

The Consul General of the Embassy of the United States of America, Scott M. Renner, visited the premises of the C5i State System of the State Secretary of Public Security in order to know the application of information technologies in the actions that are made in terms of security.

The North American diplomat and the Trade and Investment Counselor of the Embassy of the United States of America, Sarah Mathur, were received in the C5i State System by the Secretary of Public Security of Guanajuato, Alvar Cabeza de Vaca Appendini, who showed him the technological infrastructure for public security in Guanajuato.

The head of the SSPEG stressed to the diplomatic visitors that the technological tools are shared with the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato, as well as with the federal authorities by maintaining personnel for operational coordination in the State System -C5i-.

The Consul of the Embassy of the United States of America, Scott M. Renner, expressed that the application of the technologies used to improve security in Guanajuato has made a good impression on him.

Renner recalled that a large population of citizens of North American origin reside permanently in the city of San Miguel de Allende, hence the officer’s interest in knowing the actions that the Government of Guanajuato adopts in terms of security.

The Consul General of the United States of America thanked the authorities of Guanajuato for their effort and work done to protect the community he represents.
